The Revenue Research & Optimization Manager is a leader responsible for delivering tools and insights that enable the Revenue team to make margin-optimizing strategic decisions. The role leads a team of professionals and owns critical management reporting. This position plays a critical role in delivering commercial insights and maintaining intelligence on both internal performance and the market landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Management Dashboards & Reporting
- Define critical KPIs within the organization to provide insightful analysis for strategic decision-making
- Design the target dashboard suite for in-organization use
- Develop a dashboard creation roadmap and manage the process of tools delivery
- Coordinate and develop reporting processes covering pricing, promotions, price research, customer app data, and the effectiveness of price and assortment segmentation across stores
- Maintain high standards of reporting and data analysis
Profitability Analysis
- Manage the process of delivering insights and analytics on product, store, and segment profitability
Competitive Intelligence
- Define and manage competitive research and analysis plans
- Manage the research budget and negotiate with research agencies/vendors
- Present pricing research findings and develop the competitive monitoring system
Team Management
- Motivate and develop team members through goal management, performance reviews, development conversations, development initiatives, mentoring, and succession planning
- Partner with senior management on all people-related matters within the function
Key Requirements
- Experience in analytics, revenue management, commercial insights, business analysis, or a related field, with a strong understanding of analytical and predictive models
- Ability to translate complex business needs into clear analytical requirements, projects, and tools
- Strong project and process management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple parallel initiatives and priorities
- People management or proven team/project leadership experience; direct line management experience is not essential
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize incoming requests, structure workflows, and ensure timely delivery of analytical solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and analytical/technical perspectives
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and coordinating the delivery of analytical tools, models, or reporting solutions
- Ability to connect the dots between different projects, identify dependencies and bottlenecks, and proactively support the team in moving initiatives forward
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a structured approach to problem-solving
- English proficiency at minimum B2 level
